(More customer reviews)When I bought these electrodes from LG Medical, they were (and still are, as I write this review) just 3. 50, (with FREE shipping & handling) -- as opposed to the company (RS Medical) that my health insurance bought my TENS unit for, which charged FORTY (40!) dollars for each new set of electrodes!!(And that money came out of MY pocket until I met my annual deductible.)
That being said, those pricey electrodes I received through my insurance company were SLIGHTLY better quality than these.These electrodes tend to (for the first few seconds the unit is on) -- "sting" my skin a bit.But I've found that the stinging sensation goes away after a few seconds, and they are, I would say, 90-95% as good as the forty dollar electrodes.They just have that slight sting at start-up, and they don't last for quite as many uses.One tip I've found helpful: let the pads "warm up" on your skin first for a couple of minutes before turning the unit on, and that seems to help lessen that stinging sensation.
But I would still highly recommend these, for their OUTSTANDING VALUE, especially if you are buying these with $$ out of your own pocket!If you're like me and need to use a TENS unit almost every day, you'll appreciate the savings (and avoiding the hassle of having to go through your insurance company).
Also I should note - all of these TENS unit electrodes seem compatible with all the various brands of TENS units.Even the professional electrodes at my p.t. office will fit my little home TENS unit.They all have that same long round prong connector and should fit whatever unit you have.
